Hi, my name is Melody Campbell, but I think you know that already. I am a Caucasian and Japanese person that was originally born in San Jose in the beautiful state of California. However, for most of my life, I was raised in the Central Valley.
I was raised in a family with a single mom, a very involved father, and brought up alongside my special needs brother. I, along with my mom, had to take care of and raise my brother. I would often have to help babysit him, assist him in the bathroom, and give other general care that he can not do himself over the years. My childhood was not easy but I was educated about responsibility, respect, patience, kindness, and hard work at an early age and that has helped grow me into the adult that I am today.
I have a strong passion for people, helping others, and the special needs community. My personality, it would be easy to label me as a person who has agape. My friends describe me as being very friendly, understanding, loyal, respectful, a good listener, hardworking, and fun to be around.
Since childhood, I have had a deep passion for art. Originally I wanted to be a game designer and concept illustrator but shifted my interests towards graphic design four years ago. I find graphic design and UI/UX design much more interesting and rewarding. I love working with clients to help them create their branding and grow. Helping others is my passion! Throughout my college years, I have been providing my different skills for many businesses, so I have a lot of hands-on experience.
I was recently a part of a start-up company called,
"Shop Experiments," which is working on a new and special way of linking a component library to websites of a massive scale. I thoroughly enjoy UI/UX design and thinking of ways of how my components will interact with consumers.
I am currently a part of an eco-friendly toy company named, "Cap-an-Tap" and an alternative rock band project called "Black Ramen." Cap-an-Tap's main focus is to create eco-friendly toys out of recycled materials and teach children about pollution and how that is affecting our planet. It is the parent company of "Smashing 350HP" which is a fitness clothing brand. Black Ramen, on the other hand, is an alternative rock band project that is creating a safe entertainment environment for children along with providing fun guitar lessons with their band member Lindy Day and her cartoon assistant named, "Treble."
